The Economy

An almost daily ritual for me is to drive by Boeing, which is less than a mile from my house. When I drive by I see picketers waving Union signs, drinking, sitting by a fire and not working. Boeing recently struck a deal with the unions, that from what I have heard was pretty reasonable. Most jobs you start, you know what you will be making and it is a competitive work environment. Unions are sucking the life force out of the economy. They are NOT capitalistic in any regard. Most democrats support unions. Unions take a portion (in addition to taxes which are 25% or more of your wages, not including the tax you pay when you go to spend "your" money) in return for so called "protection" from getting fired, losing jobs to overseas, better healthcare etc. Even without the current state of the economy being a factor, unions breed a lazy work force, who take constant "union" breaks, create a socialistic mindset and push us further towards exporting jobs overseas. To be a successful economy or nation, you MUST have assets that are of value (owned by the country they are in..America) and export more than you import. Our biggest export is jobs. Anheiser Busch just sold out to another country, and so many other businesses are owned or partially owned by other nations. Nations who are not here to help America, but to exploit and cash in on any profits. Now adding the current state of the economy to an already bleak outlook, you get a fucked up catastrophe known as 2008. Part of the government "bailout" and companies wanting out or backing, involves other countries coming in and buying our assets (companies, stock etc) The dwindling dollar cannot sustain any stability when we are already nearly $11 trillion dollars in debt. We keep digging ourselves into a hole. Creating new money, when there is no tangible goods or assets to back it up. Once upon a time the almighty dollar was backed up by gold. Gold has reached nearly $1,000/ounce recently. The government also sets limits on how much gold "we the people" can own, further limiting the overall wealth of the nation. Boeing employees on strike need to get back to work and support the economy and be part of the solution not part of the problem. Boeing and other companies are already and will get tired of this behavior, insubordination etc and send even more jobs overseas. These companies are in business for one reason and one reason only, to make money. They owe nothing to the working people and we owe nothing to them. We trade our time and labor for cash. We go into any job knowing what we will make from the get go. Most people don't have the luxury or topping out at max pay in 3-6 years. Most people struggle to prove themselves and their worth. Capitalism is the best about the best of the best being on top. With the current mindset of unions and dems, we will not survive a recession. People will kill for food. Whether you are religious or not, the Bible mentions money becoming so worthless and people with throw it in the streets. A growing trend we can already witness with the use of debit cards, credit cards and the value of the dollar. I am not saying that answers lie with any certain political party, but they DO lie on us the people working "together" in a "bipartisan" effort.
